7 Things To Do As Soon As You Get Engaged



1. Get A Manicure

If your nails are not freshly done. Get a manicure. Everybody will be looking at your ring.


2. Call Your Parents

Tell your parents the news if they don't know it yet. They should already have an idea, since your finance asked them for your hand in marriage.


3. Celebrate, Celebrate, Celebrate!

You have been waiting for this moment for quite sometime now! Celebrate and take in the moment. There will be enough time to start your wedding planning. In the mean time celebrate with your friends, your family, and your fiancé, and make it official!


4. Insure your engagement ring!

Better safe than sorry! This is something most couples for get to do, that could end up saving you in the future. You never know what might happen, you would also be surprised how inexpensive it is to insure your engagement ring.


5. Size your ring!

If the ring fits, that's great! I remember when I got engaged, my ring was too big, and we had to get it resized.



6. Plan an engagement party

This is optional! Not everybody wants an engagement party. But if you do now is the time to plan one. It can be something small and intimate with your girlfriends. Everybody wants to celebrate you and it's super happy and excited for you. You can also use this opportunity to drop some hints to your the bridesmaids you would want to be in your wedding. What every you decide to do make sure it's what you want and enjoy it.


7. Interview Planners

If you are considering getting professional help to assist you with your wedding planning, now is the time to start doing research and interviewing planners. Wedding planners can help you with making your wedding planning experience pleasant an exciting.
